Here is  a link to Krakauer’s Outside Magazine article titled “Death of an Innocent,” from Janunary of 1993. This article, we should recall, was expanded by the author into a nonfiction novel about Chris McCandless’ two years of travels, as well as some of the author’s and others experiences traveling and living in the wild. I also recently reread an article from National Geographic: Adventure titled “Jon Krakauer + Sean Penn: Back Into the Wild” that was quite an interesting read. After viewing and discussing Sean Penn’s movie adaptation of the novel, I look forward to publishing some student reviews of the movie Into the Wild in the near future.
